A website for a neighborhood liquor store on Main Street in Templeton. We built it in 2025, then rebuilt it for speed and search in 2026.

What we built
Eight pages: Home, Whiskey, Wine, Tequila, Services, About, FAQ and Contact.
Delivery and directions in a tap
"Order Delivery" opens the store's delivery page, "Find Us" opens maps, and the phone number dials from every page.
The shelves, online
Whiskey, wine and tequila pages with 48 featured bottles, plus a services page for the lottery, propane, firewood, ice and more.
Trust, up front
County health inspection results, year by year, and an FAQ that answers hours, delivery and payment questions.
Rebuilt for speed and search
In September 2026 we ran speed, security and search audits on the whole site, then fixed what they found while keeping the design.
Search
- One address per page, instead of two
- Hours, location, FAQ and product lists Google can read (12 blocks of structured data, up from 1)
- Unique titles and descriptions on all 9 pages
- Link previews on 8 pages, up from 1
Speed
- A 407 KB styling script that ran before anything appeared, replaced by a 19.5 KB stylesheet
- 272 KB of icon fonts and their styles replaced by 9 KB of icons built into the page
- Fonts served from the site itself, so nothing loads from other servers
- 96% less layout shift while the fonts load
Security
- Security headers on every page
- External links that can't reach back into the site
- A hardened newsletter sign-up
- Security updates checked automatically
Photos sized for phones
In October 2026 we gave every photo a phone-sized copy, so phones stop downloading images made for big screens. Desktops still get the full-size originals.

A website isn't finished at launch. Since 2025 we've kept the inspection results current, applied security updates as they come out and fixed what visitors ran into, like the age check reappearing on refresh.

How we measured
Phone scores: Lighthouse 12.8 on a simulated phone and slow 4G connection, measured October 8, 2026. Where we ran a test more than once, we show the middle or lower score. September figures come from the site's change history. Lab scores move a few points from run to run.
